How do we clean our wallpaper?

Proper care of the wallpaper can ensure a long life, making it look like new!

The way to clean each wallpaper differs, and depends mainly on the material it is made of.

Below we give you some tips on how to care for wallpapers depending on their material:

• Paper wallpaper is easily cleaned with a damp sponge using dabbing movements.
• Non-Woven and Vinyl wallpaper are cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
• For wallpapers that have specialized materials, it would be a good idea to consult the manufacturer's specifications or contact our experienced staff.

Should wallpapers only be applied to walls?

No, wallpapers can be applied to most smooth surfaces such as wood, MDF, plasterboard, etc. It is essential that the surface is smooth and free of moisture so as not to highlight the defects of your wall. In case you wish to apply the wallpaper to alternative surfaces, we recommend that you consult your craftsman.

No, it is not recommended to bring the wallpaper into contact with fire. Most wallpapers have fire retardant certificates, but for safety reasons, it is not recommended to bring them into contact with fire.

However, they can be applied to the fireplace area (such as the chimney and surrounding walls) as long as the flame does not come into contact with the wall. Even materials that in their primary form have a relative resistance to flames [stone, glass, leather, etc.] require certain additional materials to achieve the wallpaper effect that do not allow contact with fire.

Wallpapers usually come in the following dimensions:

Wallpaper rolls are usually 0.52 meters wide and 10.00 meters long or 0.70 meters wide and 10.00 meters long and cover 5 or 7 square meters of surface area respectively.

There are also wallpapers that are in running meters, i.e. they have a width of 0.70, 1.00 or even 1.30 and we cut as much as our craftsman has calculated is needed to cover the surface we want.

The above sizes vary by factory, collection and design. That is, not all wallpapers come in all the aforementioned dimensions.

Wallpapers are separated according to their material.

• Non Woven- Synthetic Substrate

Non Woven wallpapers are the new generation of wall wallpapers. Their main feature is that they do not expand when installed with the moisture of the glue.

This gives us the advantage that the glue is placed directly on the wall since the wallpaper does not need to be soaked.

They can be placed on almost any smooth or uneven surface as long as the appropriate glue is used.

They are easily removed, we can simply pull them and they come off without leaving any residue on the wall.

• Vinyl

These specific wall coverings are made of high quality materials, thus acquiring special resistance mainly due to the vinyl coating they have.

It has a textured texture or smooth and a matte or glossy finish, while thanks to the vinyl coating it is washable and has great resistance over time.

The Vinyl wallpaper (with Non-Woven base) can be placed in damp areas as long as it does not come into direct contact with water.

It is easily cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

• Paper

This wallpaper is made of laminated paper and the glue is embedded in the wallpaper, while to remove it we must soak it.

It is easily cleaned and dabbed with a damp sponge.

• Sticker

The self-adhesive wall wallpaper is made so that it is thin and can be placed perfectly on the surface you want.

It is installed easily and quickly without damaging the paint on the walls, while sometimes can be removed and repositioned.

• Specialized Materials

This is a special category of luxury wallpapers of special specifications, some of which are handmade.

The materials of these wallpapers can be precious or semi-precious stones, glass, etc.

• Velvet/Fabric/Natural Materials, etc.

There are wallpapers that have a coating of special materials such as velvet, various fabrics, natural materials (straw, cork), etc. Usually their base is Non-Woven, but this is not necessary.

There are paper wallpapers, textile wallpapers, digital print wallpapers and embossed non-woven wallpapers available in many colors and designs and are manufactured without the use of PVC and plasticizers.

The color rendering of samples and products on your screen is only an approximation. The digitization (photography) of samples and compression for web applications can lead to individual deviations. In addition, the color representation depends on the monitor and its settings, as well as the software used to display images. Therefore, the color values ​​shown are not binding.

**Please note that for purchases / orders over 50€ we provide free shipping. Otherwise, shipping costs 5€.

Many of the wallpapers available from us are shipped directly from the manufacturer. In individual cases, the number of orders for a particular wallpaper may exceed the manufacturer's inventory. The product may still be ordered from us, but sold to the manufacturer and reproduced. This may lead to a deviation from the originally specified delivery time. In rare exceptional cases, the production of the wallpaper order is no longer possible.

**Please note that we do not influence the production process.**

To place an order by phone, you should know the following:

1. Initially, you should have measured the square footage you wish to cover, so that we can calculate the total number of wallpaper rolls you will need.

2. You should proceed similarly for the other products we have (flooring, fabrics and shading systems).

3. Finally, you should have kept the product codes that are usually found under their name, next to the SKU, and have the full shipping information (Address, ZIP Code, Area & Telephone).

**For professionals: You should also have the VAT number and the tax number of the business to which it belongs.**
